Ahead Of Halloween

Everything about Halloween activities, costumes and masks, decorations, food and treats, and sounds

Halloween Depends On Scary Halloween Sounds

Trick or treat belongs to Halloween and although most would choose the treat over being tricked, they might not have a choice when they come to your home. Because Halloween is the best time to scare people but you need props and scary Halloween sounds to do so, if you have this it is not difficult at all to create something really scary. Especially scary Halloween sounds are necessary to create scary tricks, movies and haunted houses.

Boo! Is not enough anymore

The classic example of scary Halloween sounds is yelling “boo” to startle someone. Yet, this example is so classic that it hardly even works anymore. In today’s day and age, it is rare to see someone pop out and yell “boo,” neither in real life or in the movies. It takes more advanced sound effects to cause a fright.

Horror Movie scary Halloween sounds

The scary Halloween sound effects in horror movies are more advanced then what most could do on their own. The technology available to sound specialists far exceeds what is available to individuals. Recently, this technology has resulted in trademark scary Halloween sounds that left people scared for days! The muted laughter in The Exorcism of Emily Rose, the growling in the Grudge, these are all typical scary Halloween sounds that have been tweaked to be a little scarier. The professionals know what they are doing when it comes to scaring people with sound.

Create some real good scary Halloween sounds

How can you achieve a similar effect in your own trick or haunted house? The first important thing to remember is to avoid tacky, stereotypical sounds. Booing and moaning are not going to help you accomplish your goal. Sounds that people hear on a day to day basis can become scary, if they are manipulated to be that way. This is your best bet when it comes to successfully scaring someone with scary Halloween sounds.

Surprise, surprise!

You need to surprise someone to really scare them and scary Halloween sounds can help you do that. Especially sounds that are unknown are always scarier. Make sure that the source of the scary Halloween sounds cannot be found. This adds to the surprise factor and as you know now the surprise is just as important as the scary Halloween sounds itself.
